The emergency department is expected to open in mid- to late 2018, after renovations are made and staff members are hired. The project is supported by $10.1 million in funding from the state’s Dorothea Dix Hospital Property Fund grant and an additional $750,000 state grant for job creation. The reopening of the hospital is expected to bring at least 65 new jobs to Franklin County. Using the video screener as a cover to charge hundreds of dollars is such a fucking gift and I will tell anybody who will listen not to go to them.Franklin Medical Center will be turned into a freestanding emergency department with around-the-clock emergency care, diagnostic services and behavioral health services. I could have afforded the loss, but I got immediately mad about how many people who can't are getting suckered in.

We recognize that our field is always improving, and that providing the best care means staying on top of new developments in keeping seniors and adults. I also called my insurance company and the woman there said telehealth visits were covered 100% under my insurance and she'd fix it. I called them up to yell at them a bit about how tests were supposed to be 100% covered and they assured me the test was covered and the $300 was for the 12 minute telehealth call. Did the video screener, did the test (negative) and then they charged my insurance $300, and my insurance covered enough to make my bill. They said it was $145 if you're uninsured, but that they'd take my insurance. I fell for this trap back in July of 2020.
